Title: Are migs 4 or 5 speed
Post by: Del Boy on 31 October 2008, 22:02:32
In auto form, I had a 2.5 auto years ago and I can't remember if it was 4 or 5 speed? Are the 2.6's 5 Speed autos?

Certainly the pre and mini facelift are 4 speed... I believe the same goes for the facelift but not 100% sure :-/

Jue says (he's not touched down on earth yet so I'm answering on his behalf - see auto gearbox thread below) there was a 5 speed auto but not in this country.  Here u could only get a 4 speed auto but you could only get a 5 speed manual.

i thought there were a few very rare 5 speed autos on the very last 03 3.2's ?

5L40E only available on the Y25DT engined models :-?

which i'm sure is the late 24valve straight 6 turbo diesel motor only found in Opels in mainland europe :-?

Right, this keeps getting asked. The answer is:

The only Omega-B to leave the factory with 5 speed auto is the Y25DT common rail BMW engine, that was never available in Vauxhalls (who used the 2.2DTi instead)

Assuming it is 5 speed, and not just the LED panel, it will be a retrofit from Y25DT

And I wonder if there is a v6 petrol map for that gearbox ECU....
