Title: Front wing, what to do?
Post by: VXL V6 on 01 November 2008, 13:01:34
After my incident last thursday I either need to source another wing or try and get the dent pushed out of mine.

Not sure what to do, I'm sure someone like dentmasters or ding masters can push the dent back out and then I won't need to worry about paint matching etc.

Or do I just buy a used wing off eBay (Z157 Star Silver III) and bolt it on? I'm thinking the colour match would probably be better than going the whole bodyshop / respray route.....

I reckon either way i'm looking at around £50 - £70

Any thoughts please?

Those paintless dent removers do do a stunning job, I'd go that route if it was up to me  ;)

depends on how bad the wing is i guess, i had a dink in mine when i got it, i thought it would just pop out but is was stubborn due to the gauge of steel, ended up banging it out for now but of course the metal then stretches & the paint cracked, ive got another wing ready to be painted as well as a bonnet, but go to the paintless dent bods & ask if its possible first, itll save alot of work etc in the long run ;)

Thinkmost of the dent removers will take the job on and if they don't do it 100% they don't charge you  :)
