Free to a good home, just collect it and its yours. 10 year old Sony TV in full working order, has the remote (but its seen better days the dogs have got it a few times  ::))

Picture is fine, good colours, nothing wrong with it.

Selling due to it being replaced by a 40" LCD Bravia.

SWMBO wants a 40" flat screen TV, but I can't justify getting shut of our old telly, despite it being a 4:3 CRT 28" has-been.  :-?

Get down to comet - I got this 42'' Philips plasma for £370, ex-display without remote. new remote brought from philips for £22 delivered what a result - this models only been on sale for 5months, so at most its 5months old, and sold with 5year warranty. very happy bunny
I went down to comet with £900 thinking thats what i'd be looking at, spent some of the change buying a very handy wall bracket. can now pull the tv out and put it away when not needed!

Right then ....  ;) while we're talking tv's & DVDplayers etc ....
At the moment we have a combined video, CD/DVD and surround sound. I know there's likely to be bigger & better out there, but we've been looking at these types of things clicky (http://humaxdirect.co.uk/product.asp?ProdRef=10065) but haven't a clue where to start.  :-[

I want to keep some kind of surround sound either keep what I've got or add it to the above hard disk/DVD player.

I feel like my Mum & Dad were years ago when we took the pi$$ because the new fangled video player's clock was left flashing cos they couldn't set it up. ::)  ;D  ;D  ;D

Thats the best size for the room, 50" would have been too big, could not sit far enough back.

We still got an oldish Sony 32" so until that starts acting up no plans to buy  a LCD yet  mind you neighbour had his 40"LCD nicked, burglar came over fence at back kicked the door in took the new tv (he new it was there as plonka left the packaging there for all to see for ages ) legged it back over fence with TV under his arm ...so get it well nailed down mind you they would have a hernia or a heart attack lifting ours so were stuck with it for some time yet :y :y

Don't know the model, but a Sony BD as well, got Earth with it, simply stunning! It upscales Normal DVDs very well, popped Planet Earth in (standard DVD) very good, not far off bluray!

Hooked up the xbox too, damn good picture. Speakers not that bad for built in either.

SkyHD+ is being installed in a couple of weeks. :)
