Ok, I Don't want anyone arguing over this post - I havn't started it for that reason.
I'm not taking sides over anyone who may have issues with MutantCav as thats between them and him.
MutantCav came down today as promiced to remove the v6 lump from my omega.
We had a laugh and got done what we needed to do.
He brought all the tools and a crane.
We worked for 4 hours in the pouring rain and it was freezing cold.
he'd already paid in advance so no problems there.
The old girl put up quite a fight, bolts not wanting to shift, rounding off or the once welded nuts spinning where you couldn't get to them!! so nothing out of place there then!
I'd already removed the Rads and most of the loom so there wasn't a great deal of work to be done, but any amount of work in these weather conditions is hard work.
Well by the end of the day he left with a 3.0 v6 engine, with gearbox attached, all his tools and the engine crane in the boot of his omega estate WITHOUT even putting the rear seats down - a testiment to the load-lugging omega estates.
A good experience with another forum member

the cold is bad but i could deal with it, you know how it is once you get going, but the killer punch was the rain.
wet, cold tools covered in oil - not my cup of tea!

20*c lol, that would have been nice, well even 9*c would have been good, dont think it got above -15*c, with the wind chill and rain it must have been all of -40*c
