Title: Rats
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 23 November 2008, 16:53:59
I have just been into one of our outbuildings, and have found a sizeable dead rat.........This rat looked bigger than average, so I took the opportunity to measure it. :o

Its dimensions were as follows

Body 11.5 inches
Tail 9 inches
Total length 20.5 inches

I thought I would show Mrs Optimist my new find. So I started with the words "Have you seen what I've just found Dearest?" ;)

Up until this point in time, I was unaware that Mrs Optimist possessed such formidable sprinting power. I imagine her 100 metres dash could be completed in well under 5 seconds. A World Record!!! :P

Strange how Women are frightened by such things as rats and spiders.

Anyway just a little tale to brighten up a Sunday evening for our Lady OOFers. (Can supply picture for proof if required) :y :y :y

...`once found a (live) grey-Rat as big as a domestic cat under the bonnet of my Land Rover; at first it was so 'out of scale' it didn`t visually-register; but a double-take revealed the reality......I made very big tracks in a big hurry! :o
I really don`t like vermin of any kind: crows, mice, rats, mice or pikeys! ;D
