Title: carlton 3.0 gsi steering.

ive got a job to do on a carlton 3.0 as its failed the MOT on the centre steering rod [link] has got too much play, does anyone know if its the same item as a miggy?

well im shocked that nobody knows!, oh well i`ll have to take some measurements off mine, just hope the balljoints are the same bore :y

Worth joining Autobhanstormers (£20) if only for the trade card and then ask advice on there forum. They have some pretty "clued up" members regarding older Vauxhalls

yeah tony but cant see why i should re-join [was with them when i had monzas] just to do somebodies car! ;) ,& dont fancy trapsing around scrappies either in this weather, could always try fleabay i suppose :D

If I had to guess I would say it is the same,quiet a few parts on carlton/senator /omega the same, but I dont know for certain. :-/

i would say its the same, i used to have a 88 GSI with a full lowered suspension kit and when my brother bought a 95 2.5cdx the whole kit fitted...

I think its the same part, as the omega was built on the carlton floorpan they jst played around with the suspension mostly, oh and cut great chunks out of the chassis to crerate crumple zones!!! :y
