I ever you get chance to visit the UK again, try and visit places places like Chatsworth House inDerbyshire, or cities like York.

West coast is better seaside wise and the further South the better if you get the chance, Devon and Corwall, visiting places like Padstow and Newquay are worth the effort.

Also the highlands of Scotland.

Plenty of Motorsport in the UK even with the run what yer brung Drag Racing events at Santa Pod.

Plus the odd OOF meet up and down the country.  :y :y :y

And one place is Bletchley park..

An interesting day out, IMHO. Very good tour guides there who know the history very well.

This place might be worth a look too if you like secrets. A very interesting day out. http://www.secretnuclearbunker.com/

Plenty of opportunities in the summer when the sir shows are on.

One visited our gliding club a year or two ago. Had a sit in the cockpit.   :-*

Lake district is nice, too. :y Bring your tent, about June time, and you might find an OOF meet. ;) As long as we find a more hospitable camp site.

Evening Cem. If you like old aircraft then Lincolnshire is one of the best UK counties with viewing areas at the many RAF bases. We also have the last 2 remaing Lancaster bombers, one in East Kirkby airfield which does'nt fly but taxis on showdays & RAF Coningsby have the only one that still flys, i've stood under it as it's coming in to land, it appears to hover, stays up at a really slow speed & the noise is incredible. 8-)

I did my work exerience at Coningsby with the Battle of Britain - was absolutley amazing. Helped take an engine out of a Hurricane and plonk it into No.3 slot on the Lancaster whilst i was there (all because there were was a tiny amount of swarf in the oil from an oil change)  :o

The best bit was chaining one of the Spitfires down and running the motor up to speed - the ear Defenders were a waste of time  :y

Wing commander took me up in a Chipmunk and also did a flyover in the Dakota. Great week  :y
