Title: Broocie & the Beastie.
Post by: amigov6 on 30 November 2008, 00:00:55
Having moved her about yesterday i've come to my senses & realized i could'nt bear to see her go. The BM is great, goes like merry break & smooth & tight as....a smooth tight thing, but will be going in the spring. It's a "get out of my system car", always wanted one. 2.8 straight 6 in a little 2 door coupe is a scream (manual of course) but much as i "luvvit" i don't love it like i do the Beastie. Even the youngsters whose little cars we valet know what an MV6 is & think she's cool, so thankyou all for not buying her, & thankyou Broocie for locking the thread.

I like BMW s also..But their running costs are really serious..

my mechanic friends shops are an interesting example

one shop nearly have 70-80 custormers total (only BMW shop)

the other more than 600-700 customers (many brands opel, renault, fiat, ford etc)

and they nearly earn the same amount of money  :o :o

Thank goodness for that Amigo, I know what it is like to part with a "special" car for all the right reasons at the time, but then live in constant regret about it long afterwards! You would have done that if you had carried out the terrible deed. ::) ::) :'(

You have saved yourself a lot of heartache and probably the loss of your sanity!! 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Bit late for my sanity Lizzie but otherwise you've hit the nail on the head, even i can't argue that one!!! The BM's smoother, better build quality than VX etc etc but Migs have more soul & character, so the Beastie stays & i'll enjoy the BM 'til the spring, including a trip down south to visit the parentage.
Thankyou again for not buying her, i had one cash offer from a well known & loved member, if we meet at a meet you can have a drive mate!!!! :y
