Not a huge fan of the Catera but this one is one of the nicest ones i have seen.

wow that looks great
-
er, its an omega, not a catera, Badged as opel and named omega,
-
I think it is a Catera but with Opel Badges & Grill etc!! So technically its not an Omega.

It has Polish plates on the front, so it could well be an import, but why would you import an Omega all the way to the States when you could buy a Catera :-/ The plot thickens ;)

i have just recently been in the US, while not a popular car, the catera was badged as such, with the caddy logos on it. to me its an omega, if i wanted a catera i would buy one that says catera, if i want a mig, i would buy one badged as such, imho the seller is misrepresenting the car.

I know the Catera was badged as Catera but I have seen quite a few that have been rebadged as Opel. They seem to like the Opel better than the Cadillac. So I still think it could be a Catera under all the Opel badges and irmscher stuff.
As for the polish plates I don't know. If it is imported I could be wrong and it may well be an Opel. But then why call the listing Cadillac Catera????

The climate panel switchgear is wrong, looks like elite rims and boot spoiler with MV6 seats.
Full logic optional sunroof!
Still...looks good though.

The safety labels under the bonnet are in English too & i would have thought if it was a Polish vehicle, they would be in maybe German :-?
Think i'll email him ;)
-
Another thing is if it was polish you would think it would have the omega rear lights and this one has the catera lights.

Think i'll email him ;)
Ask him if he'll deliver :y

Hehe!! ;D That would be a nightmare!!

sounds like a dodgy chop job to me :s
seller certainly isnt being completely honest.
still, what a stunning looking car. I want it :)
-
i going to say it is an opel omega , however it appears the radio and climate have been changed as they look like catera ones unless this car has seen a hell of a lot of money and alterations thrown at it
-
Think you may find you can have any sort of plate on front of car in Illinios you only need a reg plate on rear plus they guy may well be of Polish descendants hence the PL on the front plate as there millions who came from Poland over there ..Plus you can have joke name plates in many states eg CANT BUY 1 so it may well be bought there not shipped from Poland :y
-
Mystery solved.
The plate belongs to the seller, the car was originally a Cad Catera & sold by the previous owner as so, but re-badged as a Opel Omega by the ebay seller, because no one like the Catera, but everyone likes the Opel Omega.
In there is an answer to all Omega seller's problems :y :y
-
So I was right!! Hehe!! :D :y
-
Nicest Omega (or whatever) I have ever ever seen.
-
there's a recent thread about this anyway from the last couple of days and it was posted up in the gallery earlier this year, (seen the Cant By 1 number plate a while ago)
I dont know why he went for a polish number plate for the euro look, but its definately a catera
nothing wrong with them putting the euro look on their cateras :D

I like the american alterations, eg it has a "moonroof", and where we have the engine management symbol, it says "drive to the shop". I wonder if its had the cambelt/tensioners done recently ?.
I like the GPS, and the Paint job is cracking ! :y :y :y
