I only said sky cause thats what we have. I gave up trying to use the wireless option 3 weeks after it was fitted! Even now the modem will reset itself 2 or 3 times a day! Which is a pain as my CCTV needs a fixed IP for me to remote view it >:(

Hmm, that's rather odd as I havn't had any problems with Sky broadband in over a year that I have had it. It does annoy me that you have to use on of their routers though.

That doesnt sound like Zen!
Perfect here for months at a time.
I would be looking closer to home....can you try a different router?
Have you tried a fault call, Zen are normally very helpful

Everything was working fine until 20:00! Then everything just went wrong!

Normally it drops every 5-10 days, but the server just redials and its fine :-/

Have had SKY for quite a while now with no probs -- the first week it dropped the connection every couple of hours ---- complained to Sky who flashed the software and never had a drop out since.

I have a dynamic IP on my broadband but use No-IP.com to spoof it so I can run my website from home. There is a small monitor program which runs to talk to their site so they can monitor my IP and update the Internet if I change for any reason. Don't know if this would assist you?
