Title: Took your advice - Thanks Elite Pete
Post by: notacarbuff on 07 December 2008, 12:37:22
Many thanks to all you advised me to get my cambelt done. (on another thread)

Elite Pete carried out the work yesterday with his able assistant Loo Knee. He also did the water pump, changed the oil and filter, antifreeze and auxiliary belt.

The job was done with great care and attention even though the temerature must have been around zero degrees.

I am now looking forward to the next 4 years of worry free miggy motoring.

Thanks Jim,
I was nice to meet you and see your loverly low milage Elite (got to be the lowest milage Omega on the forum).

The temperature was cold but it could have been worse if we didn't have the garage with heating, I think next time I will shut the roller shutters :)

Loo Knee did most of the work as I was talking to Jim (I normally shy ::)) and nipping back to my house for tools I had forgotten :-[

Based on my annual mileage my cars will never see those oddometer numbers.

Elite has 85k on the clock and I do 3k PA at a push, and I have 2 cars and the other has 64K on it.

So 15k on each car over 10 years and one might just be on 100K.   lol. ;)

Got my latest one about 2 years ago with 20k on the clock - was pretty chuffed as very low for a 4 year old car. Now it's just over 40k, so can't beat the 29K mentioned earlier......
