Title: bought a pc spairs repairs the other day
Post by: Bacon Butty Man on 13 December 2008, 14:58:26
got this machine home and what a botchup,  i thought the email i sent the seller may amuse y'all, look at the description first

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280292969953

email as follow

hi
just a few probs with your description, i know it was sold a spairs repairs but none the less.
the new grafix card is not in any way compatable with the machine, the pc is AGP, the card that was included with the pc is pci-e, also where is the hdd cage, your description said only needed a hdd, but theres no where to put one when you do have one, also the 1 inch CHIPBOARD screw that is holding the dvd rw in has now been replaced with a proper casing screw, also if the dvd rw is new then i will eat my hat, i will take it on the chin as i can sort it out but please ensure a real accurate description when you list an item

You can see from his pics that there is no hard drive cage.

have you left him feedback?

make sure you rate his DSR appropriately, i.e 0 out of 5 for accuracy!!

My understanding is, when something is bought as spares or repairs - the buyer basically accepts there could be unknown issues, something missing, or other unknowns?

agreed but when the guy states it only needs an hdd then that is presumably all it needs
