I've seen these fitted on new VW's (didn't know they were available for Vauxhalls yet) and having driven a couple of our company VW Golfs fitted with these blades, I can tell you they are very good - very quiet and really clear the screen well. If the VX one's are as good I'll definitely be getting a pair myself.

The normal Vx ones are very good and quiet, but still need to be replaced at least annually....

The vx dealers do sell them......i picked up a leaflet about them last time i was at dealer, the leaflet listed they fit quite a few models but no mention of the omega......i asked the parts guy who didnt have a clue wether they would fit an omega  ::)

I saw them last night & was wondering the same thing, think I'll give 'em a go, I hate my wipers smearing....

I think its recommended to change them every 6 months. On average in th UK they get changed every 2 years I read somewhere.

I put new blades on mine about 3 months ago and they are squeaking/vibrating like mad already.

well to put the pricing into context, a set of Bosch "normal" wipers are 24" and 19" for the fronts, and cost £7.50 at Halfrauds if you have a trade card, I think £18.99 is the full retail price ...

Vectra C part no: 93189630 I think ?

If you read the blurb about the blades on the bosch site it says that the spring tension within the blade is set for the shape of the screen. Personally I think that its a bit of a marketing ploy, I just cant see them going to that much trouble. I wouldn't think the shape of the screen would be that much different anyway.

Well I decided to go for the ebay ones & fitted them earlier, they are genuine Vx, part no. 93189630 & it says they are for Vectra C & Signum.
If nothing else I think they look really good, far "sleeker".
I've only tried them with the wash wipe & they work really well & are quiet, but then they are brand new.
Just waiting for some rain (which doesn't look like it'll be long) so I can test them properly.
The only thing I'm not happy with is the way the passenger side sits in "park", but it's fine when moving.

Gotta agree with you there!! Why DO these bloody mega-supermarkets have such small parking bays?? Don't they realise not everyone drives Micra's or Mini's. It's no surprise at how many scratches and dents you pick up in these places, they just ain't big enough for half the cars that use them. A situation that's made even worse when half the cars that use them are women in 4WD's, SUV's and MPV's that haven't got a frigging clue how to drive or park them.  >:(

Blimey Bo, ya got me going into a bit of a rant on that one!!  ;D

Try parking with your wheels either side of the white line - like a landing strip - easy in, easy out. Noone ever comments and you never get any unwanted dents (no offence Bob)

Yes, sorry forgot about this thread.
It's rained a couple of times (although not really heavily) & they work really well. No streaks or smears but like I said earlier; they are brand new. They are however much quieter, time will tell if they're worth the extra. I believe Halfrauds now do universal flat blade wipers.

If I'm honest they're only slightly better than ordinary one's & probably not worth the extra, they do look good though.......
