So what are you doing to it?

Current plan
Heads off
Re-furb with new stem seals and a stage 1 port.
Re-locate the O2 sensors.
Rebuild with 3.0 cams (if I ever get hold of the infamous Timbuk!)

So what is involved with a stage 1 port?
Combustion chamber bowl volume batching, casting flash removal and port matching....no real opening of the ports (although looking at the exhaust posrts you could do quite a bit to them although of little benefit in reality wothout the same on the inlets)

Easy to do with a B&D Wizard I suppose - might have a go when I do the valve stem seals.
Planning to do them in the summer with JV6CDX help

Any thoughts on exhaust manifolds? Just wondered with Albatross's "Exhaust configurations" thread in mind. Tubular as opposed to the current cast/plenum fitted ar standard?
Happy Hols Mick by the way.
