Title: I could be in trouble over xmas
Post by: STMO123 on 21 December 2008, 18:51:16
I haven't had a f@g for 3 months now and have only put on 2-3 pounds in weight. However, I think Christmas is long and boring, and there will be LOTS of lovely picky things lying around for days......... :(

Gave up the spliffs 3 years ago now, stopped dead never again, easier than i thought after 25 odd years. Not going to even attempt not smoking or drinking. I don't have a family now or go on holiday which for some of us is something to dread, total stress, what most of you love terrifies me. I don't go clubbing or spend silly money on silly clothes to do so, so a vodka & roll up are all i have.
However i'm gonna lose some weight next year. I've got no excuses, i can shed it but i suffer from munchies & boredom eating when i'm not hungry so i'm going to walk to the shop, pump up the mountain bike tyres & use my walk/ski machine.
I'm just over 6 ft & nearly 18 stone which is too much. A few disciplined months could see 14 stone again. Was'nt that long ago & i felt & looked loads better.

Congratulations on kicking the habit. I stopped February 2007 after smoking for 46 years, went cold turkey and haven't looked back. Thats not to say I don't sometimes fancy a drag, when I do I just walk past a local pub where they are all standing outside puffing away .... the smell is awful and they are shivering. To think I used to be like that, now I'm just a fat grumpy old git, no richer cos the kids spend it.

Just keep going the hardest part is over. Well done. Merry Christmas  :-*  ;D
