£46 +VAT for the correct fitting kit
£41 +VAT for the pads only
Neither trade club >:(
Useless *********
Told them with MOT coming up I cannot afford them.
I think I'll get these!

And they are annoyed they ordered them and I didn't collect them - they sort of assumed I had ordered them!
-
We bought our astra from EH and they automatically assumed that they would be doing all the repairs/servicing. They seemed a bit peeved when I told them to shove it.
-
Or these 48hour delivery

I would nip to your local motor factor and get some aftermarket pads of a reasonable brand. That's daylight robbery for a set of pads IMHO.

I'm going to stock up I think.
Local motor factor - might have a look tomorrow after work
Ordered the EBC ayway - quick delivery
I think the dealer in Reddich or Evesham may get some more parts sales. >:(

I think I will drive to another dealer sometime and get some spares.

Why not try JueV6 :y
-
As mentioned in a previous thread somewhere...
Pads between facelift & pre-facelift are identical, the only differences are the fitting kit (2 little pins and some clip), but as MDTM said, you can just use the existing bits to fit the new pads.
-
I think I will write to the local stealer about this!
Paid about £6 more than that to get some quickly as the other dealers are a bit far

I found in the past, before I educated the parts dept staff, that it pays to go in armed with what is & what isn't on Trade Club. One of the lads tried to palm me off a couple of times by saying that blah blah wasn't in the Trade Club >:(. You just need to be firm!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D :y

Me & EP are lucky in a way, our local dealer (not so much a stealer) are pretty damned helpful and knowledgeable so if its on TC we get it TC, if not, get the usual 10% trade discount.
But sometimes they knock a bit more off for 'end of month' or similiar, just to shift some old stock. (last time I got the 4 for 3 offer on the oil, they only charged £22 all in inc. VAT)
Heck, they even offered me 25% of the trade price for the 19" snowflakes (so 10% of retail, then a further 25% off)
Really couldn't ask for a better team :y

Think i paid £12 for aftermarket rear pads for mine. :y

Yep , thats the correct price....i only used to pay £11-£12 for mine from vx dealer....
I used to wind them up tho.....ask for a part.....then ask if they had the trade book handy....which they always passed to me.....i could find the part number from the book faster than they could find it on the computer! ;D ::)

I bought some of the TC ones last week c 11 quid (and with 10% off too)
While in there I asked about whether you could buy the pins/spring bit separately (the spring on my saloon has come apart).
Apparently you used to, but now the only way is to buy the original pads/fitting kit which was c 50 quid. Apparently the TC ones are 'aftermarket' - whatever that really means.
-
They are around a tenner on TC. Sounds like they are quoting for shoes!
I have some 10% off TC prices on pads (and fuel filters) this month, but think they are only valid at my dealer.
-
Same bullpoo quoted to me
Need £50 kit to get the fitting kit, great road safety idea isn't it? >:(
-
fyi I just bought a fitting kit in Halfords - looked about right and included springs and pins. Only cost a couple of quid so I thought worth a try.
-
I'll try that :y
