Also got caught the other day riding the scooter without a helmet no tax and insurance 200 baht fine (four quid), so got the bike taxed and insured today and also had to pay for the past two years tax total bill....eleven quid :y ;D

I cant comment.
The day I bought 0ne of my cars I tested 3rd gear (Auto) on an open stretch of road at 3am on what I thought was a completely empty road ((Dual Carriage/motorway).
Nearly died when the speed I was doing lit up half a mile in front of me on top of an unlit Volvo estate. Glad he wasnt paying attention, I paniked waiting for the post for 3 weeks.

Yeh, but don't forget what laws you brake abroad also have to be spent when you come back home.
