I have one .... reads engine and gearbox only ..... got mine on ebay brand new and sealed for 35 quid :y
-
Just to check if the RAC code reader works on the omega and if anyone has them as they are only £40 and all i need it for is to reset the check lights at most and check codes.
Thanks
Steve

I bought a maxscan u380 for £15 plus £6 delivery off ebay and use it to clear our recurrent EML light issues on our 2001 MV6 2.6.
Orange thing it is with a SCROLL and ENTER button only on it.
Clears fault codes and resets EML light.
Works a treat.
-
Thanks Webby will have a look into that.
-
Just do a search for U380 on ebay mate and you will see them all.
Honestly, they are well worth £15 if all u need is read codes and reset eml.
-
These are OBDII readers so unlikely to work on pre-DBW cars and unlikely to talk to anything but the engine.

Yep agreed, but then if like me thats all he needs and he has a facelift Omega, they are a bargain in my opinion.

Oh, yes. Agreed. Just mentioned it in case those with older Omegas were tempted.

I can sell them a paperclip reader very cheaply.

Save over £2 whoopie shit!!!! ::)

Not seen anything in the Argos blurb that says its exempt from their 14 (16?) day return policy....get one, clear your codes, take it back [smiley=wink.gif]
-
I guess you could do mate yep, and the Argos return policy has gone up to 30 days now not the old 16 days it used to be.
Arent the terms of the return that it must be returned unopened and unused though?
