Glad Terry Prachett has been recognised, a great writer with a fantastic imagination
not sure about Lewis Hamilton, me thinks that should have been a while down the line once he has established himself a bit more

Same with some of the other Olympic athletes - wait until after 2012
They deserve them - but wait until they have been going longer

Why should he?
Last PM who deserved anything like that (like or hate her) was Margaret Thatcher

Agreed.
But then again i am surprised Blair didnt get honoured - theres a fair few incompetent, irrelevant, lying cheating forked tongued slimballs that seem to have made the list at one time or another...

Isn't one of those the swimmer with the outrageous hooter? Someone bung her £100 for a nose job!

you must be having a laugh,if u want to see a GOD in action watch moto gp there you will see a man called mr rossi...
still he dosnt live in england does he ,where does hamilton live again
and what happened to brucie?
-
Hey i never said mr rossi was bad! I did watch the laguna seca motogp this year you know! :D
-
I did some stewarding at the last British GP, ended up in front of the crowd, 30 yards from the start/finish line when Hamilton crossed to win after a superb drive.
What an experience that was and what a fantastic year he had.
I do agree with some of the thoughts on the subject however.
IMO the olympic athletes should the receive the recognition they fully deserve for their fantastic achievements, but I question that this the vehicle to do it?
An MBE at 14 for Eleanor Simmonds, whatever the achievement, makes something of a mockery of the whole honours list, given that there are no doubt thousands of people out there who have done fantastic work all their lives without any recognition at all.
I should say that I have absolutely nothing against Eleanor, heaven knows what she has had to overcome to achieve what she has, I've just sited her as the youngest recipient, as an example.
