Title: New Car
Post by: Gwilym on 05 January 2007, 00:01:19
All being well, I will be picking up my new (to me) car in the next 2 weeks.

Senator 3litre 24v Leather Auto Saloon K plate 144k miles, MOT til Oct 2007, No Tax though

I think I have got a bargain so before I disclose the agreed price. What do you reckon it is worth

PS, It is an extra toy, I am not replacing the MV6

Got a bargain there i think, look forward to some piccys! what are the rear arches like?

A Senny would be a very cheap Euro trip car for me, just concerned about reliability / parts availability.

Drive train is reliable enough, back axles whine a bit though. Its the rest of it that isn't, you know things like ABS, Cruise, Blowers, Windows......

I am not fussed too much about windows and stuff, as long as the front one works, cruise would be nice for motorways though.

You took one on that Rally and i seamed to do fine.

Do you reckon a senny is up to a 6k mile trip around Europe?

Not sure about the Senny, although fun, I'd say Omega is a better car and mechanically equally as good if not better, especially with the Ecotec units.

I'd jump in my Omega tomorrow (after a new exhaust) and happily drive it anywhere on the continent.

Yeah, I'd happily embark on a 6k trip in my MV6...

Senator is mechanically very solid usually.
As long as there are no rattles from the timing chain....
Mark has detailed the other bits.

Mostly it is easier to work on too. ;)

Electrics are questionable, but hey it is getting on for 15yrs old.

Defiinitely fun to drive and for £250... can't really go wrong. :)
