Title: quit my job today
Post by: jjleonard on 05 January 2009, 13:53:21
What a relief! I know it was a dodgy thing to do, given the current financial circumstances, but I waited until I had another offer before giving my place the bullet.

The new job is 20 miles away, as opposed to 150, pays more, and is going to be a hell of a lot more challenging but more fun in the process. Best part of all is that I was headhuunted for it so I didn't even have to look.

The current place has reduced staff from 38 to 11 over the last six months and is on it's way out, despite the entire board telling me a month ago that they had strong plans for the future.

Anyway - I know this means little to the omega forum, but I thought i'd blow off a little steam. It's great to finally be able to leave a job that stressed me out so much over the last six months.

righto - as you were. Nothing to see here.  ;D

speaking from experience, a very stupid thing to do, i did it once when i was 17 but managed to walk into a job 3 days later

he's nearly 28, only has retail as experience and not working notice is frowned upon where references are concerned!
