just had a patch took off my left eye from having to have a lump of metal only the size of a spec of dust cut out of my eyeball.
local anaesthetic cream makes it painless but its no fun watching pins and needles being poked at your eye :o. i'm afraid of needles but can't shut my eyes when that is where it is being poked :o.
back to driving lorry on monday and was afraid for a while that may lose hgv for losing part of sight in 1 eye but all is well :)
so wear goggles cos glasses dont give enough protection.

i know i should but i dont even though i know it can be dangerous. i dont wear ear defenders dust mask and goggles on site. i do wear gloves somtimes when im picking up craap off the floor or unloading sheet materials as mdf is sharper the thicker it gets and cuts like break. you dont learn till its too late im afraid. :(

Hi Guys,
Don't want to come across as health & safety or thought police here but please use personal protective equipment when advised. In the long term it's worth it even if you may not look cool wearing it.
Based on personal experience as I now have very poor hearing basicaly because I did'nt wear the kit when I was youger :-[ :'(
