Title: Picked Up A Blinding Omega today...
Post by: Markie on 10 January 2009, 19:51:44
....for peanuts as well.

Thing is im confused - does anyone know what options were available to buy as extras when the omega was brand new..?

Its a 2.5 cd Estate 1997 on a private place - its badged CD and also CD on v5.

But it has the following

Electric Sunroof
rear electric windows
Cruise
ccrt700 and cdc 2 changer.
Irmscher colour coded rear boot spoiler
Full heated electric leather

Just wondering how much of this went in at build and how much may have been added over the years  :-/ The leather in particular is in astonishingly good nick and to me must have come from a later low miles car....Mind you the whole car is near immaculate with ahrdly any rust on any door and fully refurbished alloys to boot!!

Any thoughts? :y

Prefacelift CD had sunroof and windows

Okay running through all the docuementation with this and its mentioned in a 2002 invoice the car has "grey cloth" so leather deffo mid life upgrade....( has seat airbags etc)

Also relaised its got walnut/ wood irmscher steering wheel.

Oh and just found a cracking little booklet VA 9901336 TECHNICAL REFERENCE GUIDE

It lists torque values, fuse set up etc and advises on page 1 "This publication is intended  as a Technical Quick reference....for service reception staff and workshop technicians  :P"

I`ll be keeping THAT!!
