Its the 2.2 and its fair to say its a bit of hype!

Just got the latest, its fuel pump issues
London, south east, sufolk and norfolk.....appears to be linked to Morrisons petrol from one specific refinary...but Vx cant point any fingers (despite getting evidence from the fleet operators and the associated fuel cards to track purchases).
Man father hs seen 1 in 4 yeas!

Something to do with the fuel pump(seal) and another part of the fuel system with a plunger in it that sticks and it seems they are not sure which is causing the fault so replace both and hope for the best ::).
As Mark says though only on the 2.2 petrol between 2003/2006? i think :-/.
HTH,
Pete :y.

Its fuel pump, nothing else.....results in reduced power and slight missfire

That's not what they said on Watchdog Mark, have they found out something since then?

Nope but, as usual, watchdog is run by journalists so very rarely resembles the truth......the info above is straight from Vx technical!

Ah right Mark, bit of media glorification, typical >:(.

ok guys, thankyou. Ill let him know. He does live that way, Colchester/Clacton ish. And has a Morissons near by, but fairly sure the car is 08, late 07 at worst. So should not affect him...
Mrs gixer says thankyou... :-*

doesnt someone on here have one sat on their drive with a fuel pump issue that has been quoted about £3500 to sort out?
good job its the 1.8 i'm after!

its again the BBC blowing things out of proportion! i can well believe that vauxhalls research shows cheap and nasty fuel as the problem!
they have done it before about the vectra with its handbrake!
