Hi,
Im thinking of doing taxi driving in an omega. What would be the most economical?
It has to be an automatic and was thinking either the 2.5td or a petrol model but lpg onverted.
Cheers :D

Why not try the "the infamous twin turbo V6 " ;D ;D ;D

Thought there was issues with Omega's age, hence why TD had to give up his Omega...

Some councils have age restrictions , mine doesnt. As long as it passes MOT its fine.

LOL, bit like Aylesbury then - we had a little bump into back of a Taxi once (my brother was driving, we had the speedboat on the back as well). We only tapped it gently up the back, and ended up on his back seat (good job no fares onboard) - the whole back end was filler :o

reminds me of a time in Yarmouth, got into the back of a Cortina taxi, could see the road next to my feet.... :'(

My Omega was originally a Avis rental car....then latter ....briefly a Taxi......this was all in the first 4 years from new. :y :y

there is still a G plate cavalier hatch taxi floating about up here, a boggy base model at that.

Yep Swindon council was 5 years (could squeeze 6 years) but they've just introduced 7 years (can squeeze 8 years) , so if id replated it back in May (6 months early than plate was due to expire) just before its 5th birthday, it would still have been plated now and I could have got a couple more years outa it :( Carnt replate it now coz even tho you can go 2 years more now, car has to be less than 5 years on its 1st plate (which effectively it would be coz plate has expired)
