My wife bought me a Flexifoil power kite for xmas, today was the first time i could fly it in anger....
Whoa!!! i was pulled at least 20 feet along at some points, they are really additive and very good fun.
I have two of them so i hope that in some point i can stack them so i can get even more power, but for the time being i am getting used to the way they handle.
Some vids i found on youtube....not me flying

Blimey! Wouldn't fancy being tied to a flexifoil tonight. :o
Wind speed peaked at over 40 knots here earlier.
They are good fun though.

A few years back at Cornwall on holiday, there was this guy with a Kite doing things I couldn't believe. So off I went and got one. Well I smashed it to bits as it kept hitting the floor for some reason!! ::) So Mrs said while we in this shop "why don't you have one of these, you wont break it then.."
A Parafoil Kite, it is about 4 ft long multi coloured... hours I spent flying it, loved every minute :y

My son takes his 13 meter or so powerkite onto the West Sands at St Andrews - the opening sequence from Chariots of Fire - and has an absolute blast out there sometimes... been owned once or twice, but a hoot none the less....
Next thing is kite surfine in the north sea... Not for me, ta. Bit on the cold side.... 8-)

i was out today in 30mph winds and it was thrilling...
However this guy was on a death wish......the end is funny though, backing track is a little un-pc, but turn the sound down and you wont notice

Have you seen the Kites the surfers use? they fly :o

Often get power kites on the beach by us, the guys use them whilst riding on skateboads with these bigger wheels on so they can run on the sand-really cool!

I had a Powel stunt kite when I was a teenager (in fact I still have it) it has a 60ft tail to it. Bloody superb things. Keep saying I am going to dust it off and use it again, just never get round to it.

I am quite keen on power kiting. I kite buggy and I am also an IKO qualified instructor. My mate owns a shop and runs a club on a disused airfield. We have got 52 acres or grass, ramps and rails etc. If you live in the local area then you should pop down and have a look round. We also do taster sessions for beginners and free coaching for girls to try and get them into the sport! Always loads of people down on a Sunday and some of our guys are absolute nutcases!
Check out the website www.airbossworld.com and check out the webcam under kiters community.
Here is a video of some of our guys from our last kite jam!

If anyone wants to come down or wants any advice on kite give me a shout.
