Cheers,
Iain

DIY.
Vax or other wet and dry 'hoover'

i had a vax, was very good. until i borrowed my brothers heavy duty one from his carpet shop :y :y :y

i used carpet shampoo in very hot water, but dont get the cleaning cloth too wet as itll take ages to dry in this weather :y

I used and still use "no wet wonder foam" got it off the tv, it takes out black grease, oil, and any other fluids etc. and leaves no marks or stains.

yep..there are alcohol based foams..they work really good..
but..
the shops whatever they are using it cleans much better..
(in reality they take the clothes completely out and wash in a machine)

Whatever 'agent' you use,get a couple of cheap white towels from Tesco etc. They do a cracking job of absorbing the crud and moisture plus you can see the amount of crap thats still coming out of the cloth.
When the towels are too dirty too continue wash them out in a bucket of hot detergent.
Also consider a spray can of stain repellent,as used on domestic furniture.
