I seem to get somthing like that every winter :(. But in my case my throat closes up so I can barely talk let alone eat. Spent a week in bed with it last month, its rather horrible >:(.

Just get lots of sleep and you'ill be grand :y

thanks everyone very kind words.
well just got back, cant believe i opted to have it done without sedation. big big mistake. 1/2 thick pipe going down yer throat choking the break out of you, then taking samples you can feel it digging in your stomach. :'(
well ive been told ive got a large hole in my gullet where itjoins the gullet, my own gp did the tests so want me in surgey tomorow morning to discuss whats next, doesnt think tablets are  that much help so  will be surgery for me probably. well at least its not what it could of beeen so pretty happy i think  :-? ;)

The reason I chose the throat spray the first time was when I was deciding which to do this bloke came in who said he had just had one without sedation and it was fine...

.....if I could catch that c**t now!  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

i had no choice having the throat spray. they wouldnt believe i was being collected so i said ok do it your way. 5mins felt like forever, the choking and foaming at the mouth was that scary i tried to pull it out my feet were flapping about like a man being hanged. i would only advise someone i hate to go for the spray ;D ;D

phone hosp this morning, bug results are clear and got 3 biopsie tests to come in 2 weeks. then whatever they deicde to do. and!! the govt are giving me £63 a week to live on. wow!!  ;D ;D ;D
could be playing golf this weekend on the taxpayer for once  :y :y

LOL --- I used to work in the operating theatres ---- in the "old days" when they removed the prostate through the old todger.  It's a blessing the patient is asleep!!!  Basically they used to pass metal tubes down it, getter ever wider until the poor old boy had stretched enough to get the instruments down .... made my eyes water just to be in the same room !!!!!

1) To test finger up the arse :exclamation
2) removal out the 'pleasure hose' :exclamation :exclamation

Needed to check out my Kidneys due to some big abnormalities on a CT scan.

NEVER again, the pain was unbelivable.

The burning sensation as they squirted the (next to useless) anaesthetic down my japs eye was horrific.

Camera itself was horrid, and felt it rummaging around.

Then trying to pee for the next few days was also agony.

Anything up the arse is 'enjoyable' in comparrison!

Every 6 months for the last 17 years ... :(

Routine checkups following an illness ..

Its a lot easier now .. the camera/cable is way smaller than it used to be ... old ones were about the size of co-ax cable .. they stung a bit ...  latest ones are very thin .. no pain at all just a little discomfort - you don't even get the gel stuff now ....

Oh .. and the pictures are now in full colour as well .. :)

Yep.........I had it without sedation...........they gave me a choice but said it was far easier for them to do without sedation............so the 'forest gump' part of my brain said thats fine......thats ok...........yes it is a horrible experience I agree........Only good thing is at least I have a certificate...........with the words...........WITHOUT SEDATION......written on it.

If you have any intelligence avoid if possible. :y :y :y
