Title: in a local breakers
Post by: bobbertbear on 25 January 2009, 21:32:02
i was getting rid of some of my old scrap out of the back garden today and took it to the local breakers to dump it and as i drove in,there was some excitement as i noticed an ex plod estate sitting on top of a pile of cars,w reg,but most of the good bits had gone, engine and manual box still in the car, xenon headlights, back box knacked tho.

me thinks it was probably stripped by the guy before the breakers picked it up, I just had to pay £30 to get the 2.5td remains lifted, he normally charges £80, 6 months ago they were lifting rott boxes for nowt..  :'(

Does yer man scrap it on the island or ship it to the mainland?  Would only be cash in it for him if the latter, I suppose...
