SWMBO was out in my car this morning when I get the dreaded phone call. Some stupid woman has tried to overtake her on the chevrons leadingup to a right turn,(the wife was indicating to turn right). The right hand side rear bumper is pushed in along with the rear quarter panel. The fuel filler neck is twisted and the flap wont lock. Looks like a it will be a right off!!!! GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Not a happy bunny. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Oh dear, bad news. :o

Sorry to hear that Mark! :'( :'(
There are too many bloody stupid drivers (men as well as women ::) ::)) around these days! :-X :-X
Although thinking back to all too many near misses perhaps it was always that way! >:( >:(

blimey she must have hit it hard :o, what was she driving a dustcart or a 4x4, should have called the police as her move was illegal.

Just spoken to insurance company and they have said already that it will be a total loss. They are arranging a courtesy car. How do I go about keeping my miggy as will def be getting another and want to keep for any bits for new one.

have a word with your insurance company to see if they will give you the option of keeping it [for a minimal reduction from payout], admittedly these days they are reluctant to do it but worth a try ;)

Bloody idiot - make sure you claim for any expenses as well - it is not your fault your car is off the road.
As idiots insurance will be paying out make clear you want enough money

She was only in a honda civic. According to the wife her car came of a lot worse :) :).
The damage to mine isnt that bad but because it has damaged the rear 1/4 panel it totals the car.
The other driver seems to think that she will be getting her car fixed through my insurance,(she will be rather upset as my insurers seem to think the 3rd party is at fault).

Come the revolution - you'll be allowed to make sure that in case's like these the other driver does'nt survive the accident >:(

stupid idiot! i hope the police are charging her with careless driving??
claim expenses and as its not your fault if your insurers take the courtesy car away as its a total loss some do claim a hire car off the other parties insurance :D Crashline are good!
