I can imagine Marie! :( :(
Although my ex and I always worked without being away for more than two days at a time, I remember my father being away from home on voyages aboard Royal Navy ships over a period of 26 years, and my mum was left alone for many months on end at a time! :( :(
The strange thing was she seemed to thrive on it!! ::) ::) ::) :D ;)

I sailed in Jan & returned in May/June 3 years on the trot. That was before we had kids though. SWMBO was very often very lonely as all the family were still up North. :(

You remind me the job that I have many many years ago..
Was making 2000 kms a week every night sleeping in a different hotels .. I was nearly loosing myself..After an accident I decided to quit..
May be nice in summer but in winter ..
But also sitting in a room in front of pc whole day is also boring and unhealthy..

So what do we do on Sunday? Yep - you guessed. Sit in a room in front of a PC. ::)
Still, I have an excuse. The weather's rubbish.

The weather is rubbish here also ;D
But problem is whatever the weather and season is I need to stay whole day and sometimes nights (for job) to stay in front of the pc and eat and code..
The only good part is if I'm not busy I can chat in OOF.. :y

Hi Marie. Sorry you're feeling down. It's hard for me to understand 'cos i like being alone, never been very good at being one half of a couple, i'm just ME!!! I imagine your respective carreers, demanding as they are still lead to an early pension/retirement while you're both young enough to enjoy life........meanwhile we'll all keep you company! :D

Hi Marie .. just spoke to SWTSMBO about this .. she had 32 years of it !! - some detachments [falklands/gulf war 1 & 2/iraq] she was on her own for 4 months at a time .. :(
Her answer was to get an interest she could do indoors, so she took up card making / scrapbooking, shes says that getting involved in something practical/mentaly demanding took her mind off it .. sitting in front of the TV didn't.
Nothing can make up for the time apart, except getting back together can be fun .. he'll be home soon..

I've always said me working away from home is the only reason me and the wife are still together and its true, since work has dried up and i'm at home we argue like cat and dog.

dont worry same happens to most ;D :y
and my solution(s) to that problem
if budget is ok > go shopping
budget not ok > wash miggy and clit and polish them together..
after we are tired and nobody has power to argue ;D ;D :y

It will make your relationship better trust me
I used to work away from home we got on very well when i was home.
after we had kids i stopped working away from home and had to work alot harder to make things work as we were in each others way alot more.
it sux when their gone but you will spend way more quality time together believe it or not and you wont take each other for granted.

i loved working away when i was with my x, was nice to come home to a family. but i do love living alone now, after 6 yrs you get used to it. peace and quiet, watch what i like on tv. and come and go as i please. kids come and stay when they like. has its downfalls though, have to cook and clean myself now, and no sex when i get in from the pub. cant have eveyrthing i guess :)
