I love the excuse for the holes in the roof!!
Not an ex plod honest!!
-
Close up of the speed taken so you can't see the calibration mark ::)
-
Have to agree, though the miles are low.
How many 'Workman' who need an amber light fit them on the bumper, in exactly the same place as plod would do...... ::) And in white too. Still looks a canny car though. :y
-
The lights on the corners of the bumper are 'amber' too! ;D
Must have been some electrical cables he was installing!
I like the bit about the faults......drivers seat worn! :D
-
Yeah because you buy a 3.2 litre V6 as a workhorse!! :D ;D
That's also been 'clocked'!
Your right though does look quite nice........

Yes I notice that, and no service history ::) at a guess I would suggest this car has been clocked. :)

but you can see the 1 mph increments though. ;)

Cars ORIGINAL Advert
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=320329688339
Notice, Engine pics ARE identical...
-
I like the neatly trimmed speedo close up, so as not to show the calibration stickers ;D
-
something does not seem right on the car
very strange :-/
-
Not only are the engine pics identical so is the mileage...... ;D ;D Why do people lie like this...just sell it as it is an ex-plod car!!!! some people will buy it on that alone...
-
3rd pict down of the dash you can see the calibration sticker....
-
Some people just think it's easy to make a quick buck!!
For what it's worth, the mileage may actually be genuine as this was a film set police car ::) ::) :-? :-?

Doubt it..... Film set or not, methinks that the odo has had a haircut at some stage in its time... (did you see what I did there?? Film set/stage... 8-) )
I know,,,,,, coat!

Lets see what reply I get to my question then!

Your question being .......... ::) :y :y
-
if the car was genuine ex plod, surely this is better as the service and tuning regime is second to none?? why not just say its ex plod and has been maintained to the highest police standard although no service history is available?
surely the police wouldn't clock thier cars??
if its from a film set then you could argue that it has also been kept in top mechanical order???
-
service history i believe is obtainable aswell if it was a force car

Depends on the force...
West Mercia had deleted & destroyed all service information for the explod I have :(

Just ask a certain H21 how cherished a plod car is in normal day to day use though! :-? :-?
Not very ......... :y :y
My local dealer says plod get through dual mass flywheels in Vectras for fun ...... shows how sympathetic they are when they let the clutch up. :-?

In my humble opinion an engine that is as dirty as this:
has done well over 62,000 miles, has not been well looked after and has certainly never been maintained by the police. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
I wouldn't touch this car myself ;) ;)
There are too many better buys out there to go for! :D :D ;)
-
If it's not a genuine ex-plod car then how come the speedo has been calibrated? Or is this a speedo from an ex-plod car, transplanted into this one?
Either way, sounds a bit fishy to me.
-
3.2 and a manual (only sold to police)

I reckon Andy he will know he's been "clocked"! ::) ::) ;D ;D ;)
-
well guess what i got a reply from the gent
he speedo has not been changed, this is exactly as it was when I bought her 8 months ago - yes, she's ex-police (only the police had MV6 cars)and I've fitted the stereo myself and replaced the dash with the wood effect as the original had holes (plus I liked the wood effect replacement) - as I used her for my job, I wasn't bothered about it being ex-police as I utilised all the holes to ad my own Amber lightbar and Amber bumber lights - since removing the roof bar, I have plugged the holes myself - hope that helps
-
"only the police had MV6 cars" ..... methinks he lives on a planet with a funny coloured sun .......
I wouldn't touch that with yours .. let alone mine ... :)
-
i checked his feedback and surprisingly he has dealt with tellycars b4
