This sort of thing gets my goat, it is a little bit like wealthy 'Townies' who move into the pretty vilages and then start complaining about 'Farm' activity. :-X
County people have to make a living, usually by working very hard for minimum wages, compared to the 'incomers' Happening a lot in our wider area. >:(
In my opinion this is little different to immigrants moving into an area and expecting everyone to bow to thier culture. Sorry, Rant Over. :y

Don't apoigise, I'm with you 100% - it really annoys me when incomers think they can dictate their ' holiday views' on the 'backwards locals' they are saving - and then wonder why someone set their holiday home on fire " F&^k t%$m!

Can't imagine that any group of fanatics would go that far ::)

SOme of the young locals are very peed off, they also talk about Yellow Pages houses as they get left outside for weeks on end

no different from imigrants coming over here and insisting they get there own way. and they do. its all down to cowards in office not having the balls to stand up to peoples demands. >:( >:(

Sympathise greatly with the comments above but it seems that all is not quite as reported. Not only is the fisherman at the centre standing alone as 'fishermen wanting a new quay' but he also does not live in the village.
Apparently a number of locals who really do live in the village are not happy with the plans as put forward and have suggested he might like to use one of the unoccupied jetties in the river itself for landing his catch.
Seems like it was a slow news day plus there is a rock star involved.
