:'( :'(
just got back from the hospital after being rushed in
been diagnosed with t.i.a
doctor at the hospital said i've had a slight stroke
i got to wait for the t.i.a clinic to contact me to go in for extra tests
ann said she is going to give up work.
doctor at the hospital said i probly wont be driving manual car for long due to the t.i.a has took most of my strength out my left side
i'm not very happy
having a car took away is like having your legs cut off
:'( :'( :'( :'(

The modern treatments for TIA's are very good and many people can make a virtually full recovery when detected early :y :y :y
Best of Luck mate... Thinking of you and your family
-
Hope it all works out for you...... :y
Have had a few run in's with the DVLA over health and driving licence myself over last few years >:(
-
As Lazydocker says -- catch them early and outlook is far better.
Main thing now is for medics to find the cause and treat any nasties they find. Take it easy for a while now tho and ( almost impossible) try not to get to worried about it. Keep the old BP low.
The car, as nice as it is, is just a car ..... take care of yourself.

Why would anyone drive anything else...... ::)
Got a low mileage, imac, 98 2.0l GLS estate if interested :y
-
Nick, Sorry to read about your mini stroke
As others have said take it REAL easy - no exertion until told otherwise.
On the bright side, gives you a good excuse to put your feet up :y
With regards to the car - definitely look at an auto mig, i changed from a manual to auto last year and don't miss it
-
Good luck I do hope that things improve. ;) :y :y
-
Like everyone else, very sorry to hear your bad news so take it easy and look after youself. As others have said, if caught early enough the prognosis is good. Im sure youll be back behind the wheel before you know it -and there is nothing wrong with autoboxes! Might not be as fast but, trust me , once you get used to them you wont want to go back to a manual unless its on a track!

asasautin reteud T
po x od
x 4 weeks
Means: drug type
by mouth x once daily
for 4 weeks
BUT ... check with the pharmacist -- these are usually prescribed TWICE daily. That OD could be a BD (which is twice daily).
PM sent
-
Mate i wish you good luck and hop eyou dont loose the Mig ;)
-
Very sorry to hear all that Nick, but at least it seems to have been caught early so there is every chance the doctors can quickly put you on the mend. :y :y
As for the car, I know what you mean about losing that is like losing your legs! :( :( I am an insulin dependent diabetic and the DVLA have insisted on my license being reviewed every three years after "medical reports"! :o :o >:( >:( >:( However if you buy an auto that should keep you on the road for hopefully a good few years to come 8-) 8-)
