heres the deal, i drive a 2001 MV6, Im doing minimum 1200 work miles per month, i get paid 14p a mile (plus a hefty use your own car allowance ;) ) im getting 30 to the gallon on long trips... i need to increase my mpg.. or lower the cost of my fuel...
i will not get rid of my MV6 though... cos I love it ;)

Apart from stealing fuel or driving slower I would suggest LPG conversion as your mileage would cover initial outlay in fuel savings.
PM Martin Imber - he's done a DIY conversion and would have some good advice I'm sure. :y

even if it was a 50/50 mix with diesel?

These engines don't like it, I've heard of many problems with this unit.
The only fuel pumps suitable for SVO of any mix are Bosch units. Don't even CONSIDER putting any mix of SVO through a Lucas/CAV pump. You'll kill it.
You'll also need a damn good heat exchanger, and maybe even a filter heater.
If you want to run on SVO, get a pug 405/406 with a bosch pump, you should be able to just fire it in the tank!
