Worst snow I have ever seen  (on the roads) was 1977 onwards as I was 16 and started work.  Learnt to drive in some of it.

But must admit people havent got a clue what to do when it snows these days.

In the 80's I had a Viva 3 door, had 3 series BMW rims on the back with Colway remould M&S tyres on.  Some of the best fun I have ever had.  Used to go out in the early hours when the roads were empty just to play in it.

I would love an old chevette (maybe with a bit more grunt) slap some cibies on and and play, but we dont get the ammount of snow as we used to.  Nice a fresh through the night, and then cleared and gritted for people to go to work in the morning.

On my wind-o-meter this morning, there are frequent gusts of 75 MPH with snow-flurries at a wind-chilled temp of -7C; if it 'really' snows, there`ll be terrible drifting......be careful everyone and keep safe/warm. :y

On way back from airport this morning at 4 ish --- nice and clear at ground level, cloudy skies -- but a wind that goes right through, rather than around, you !!!!  Guy on local radio says snow flurries this afternoon down here. Sky looks right for it -- but I doubt it will come to much, if anything at all.

Getting loads of heavy flurries here... Started laying on the main roads too :o :o :o

My road, being private, has got about half an inch already and it's settled on top of last nights frost and ice... Very slippery!!! Trust me, just had a very low speed (under 5mph) slide at the end of the road :o :o :o

Mrs LD doesn't like driving in weather like this and we're forecast as much as 8" overnight, with drifting due to open land and high winds... Think I'll be getting a nudge in the morning to take her to work ::) ::)

Unfortunately, because of what she does, she wont just take a day off as she's worried about letting the patients down. ::) ::)
