Title: e-tyres coming tommorow
Post by: nick v6 on 03 February 2009, 15:14:39
just ordered me 2 new tyres for the front of the mig
235/45/17 w speed rating extra load
going to cost £130 minus a few pennys for the 2
including new vales balancing and getting rid of the old tyres and even come out to the house which is a bonus
but i'm going to keep the 1 tyres cause there is still some good tread

ive been round all the tyre shops by me
i.e ats, and s**t fit and even the little back street type and no 1 can beat the price that e-tyres quoted me

I've had Khumho before and they were fine.  Sounds like a good deal.

they did want more
and i went to another place and they gave me a cheap quote so i went back to e-tyres and told them and they said ok we will match it
but they went a bit cheaper in the end

I know theres a place in macclesfield selling "EVENT" branded tyres 235 45 17 at £38 each inc free fitting if youre in the area.

£7 postage if youre not.

Not sure if they are any good but i think pricewise that is unbeatable

national tyres had a 16 inch tyre for my mig.  £49 on-line but 60odd in store.  Have gone through a few tyres lately all due to punctures. Working at B&Q does not help with the amount of crap that gets dropped in the carpark

i had etyres out last week to fit a khumo low profile 17" on the cav. cost me 55 quid all in. however, worth bearing in mind that etyres send out your local mobile fitting tyre agent in many cases and that it is even cheaper to use them directly, and theyre usually available saturdays! when your tyre fitter comes ask him for a card and cut out the middle man next time  :y

I fitted Kumho 235-45-17's on a new set of facelift elites a couple of months ago and got them from www.camskill.co.uk
They're great tyres .I've no complaints at all re noise, grip in wet and dry and wear. I've often seen them slated but I cant see why if you drive like a normal driver.
