how many types of engines are there in the 2.5 made in 98. why is there 3 different types of dis packs on it. ??? same as crankshaft sensor, 2 types ????????
-
Two types in that era.....three types over the full production period
The diference on the two that affect you is the plug shape.
This may seem bloody mad but, in a volume production environment you get supply issues at times and connectors are not the most standardised items put there.
Hence a change in loom supplier and/or sensor/actuator supplier could well result ina change of connector.

When I'm working outside vinyl gloves are a must along with a cuppa :y
Takes the sting out of the cold :y

If you take the scuttle panel off Rich it aint to bad. A deep 8mm slim socket and an extension will do the trick. Should be 4 bolts :y

So,although the connectors are different the dis pack is exactly the same ?

well its gonna happen in the morning, got a gazebo to put over car so should be ok. :)
