It's crazy, my road is still icy from the first snow fall a week or so ago, it's been rained on and all sorts, it just won't go

Just moved the Rover so I can get the tractor out later for its MOT (fortunately loads of people have cancelled, so I can get MOT today), and it doesn't look pleasant in our close (2" of fresh snow on top of approx 4" still left from Friday, which had got compact to ice in the road).

Rover is no problem in this weather, but may put some extra weight in the boot when I take the tractor for MOT.

Rain? You've had rain? Its been too bloody cold up on Mount Brackley for rain.  Snow, snow, and more snow up here.

Was really strange in Felixstowe last night... Torrential rain, with the odd bit of sleet but about 100m away blizzard conditions!  :o :o :o :o

Had nothing but rain at home for ages... Can't help but feel a bit cheated as we had about 6 hours of snow in total ::) ::)

What do you expect when you live up North?  ;D

Used to live slightly further south (Aylesbury, Bucks), and when we were house hunting, we always commented on how much colder it seemed to be here ;D

Then when we were coming up every weekend to check on the builders, it always seemed to be snowing up here, yet none in Aylesbury 30m away.

Its always had a nickname of Mount Brackley, no idea where it came from, but heard it from a few different people, due to its own little weather system.

I think our house gets it a bit worse when the snow is blowing as the back/northside is exposed - behind our house is a playing field, then countryside for a mile, a small hamlet, then countryside for miles and miles :)

Must admit, I had a 'spirited' drive in this morning  ::) passes the monotonous drive away quicker and at that time in the morning no one else around anyway

Is that the one about 5m for your place?  Had the tractor sideways around there in the dry (half provoked ::) the day we chipped it :o

It's thawing fast here. Can see grass for the first time in a week. Back to dull, miserable drizzle. :(

Once off the estate roads were fine.

Had to pick up a workmate as he forgot to take his car home yesterday.

Also M5 jammed (crossed over the top), all N - S roads through Worcester very jammed as well.

Loads of cars parked up on the main drag in from bypass - looks like the industrial estate (in a valley, was part of the old train lines many years ago) is snowed in...
