Smoke test could be an issue - its got half a tank of crap supermarket fuel (and half a tank of BP Ultimate).
I know a wheel bearing needs changing as well.
-
Mine's going in a 2 today... I know it needs a spring but haven't gotten around to it ::) ::) ::)
Hopefully he wont spot it as it is literally just an inch or so off the bottom... Tony (WIM) and I both missed it and we were looking for that sort of problem :y :y :y
-
Good luck with it!
Front or rear bearing?
ive a rear to do to get Mark to do
-
Tut, Tut, all the electronic jiggery pokery at you disposal and you can't input a date to remind you of important things ::)
I use a good old fashioned paper diary and look at it most days just in case :y
Good luck with the MOT :y

Always get advisories from place in town due to "Plastic sills - unable to check condition of sills"
Need to book the MV6 in as well - that runs out in a couple of weeks. I hope the bloody handbrake doesn't give any grief this year >:(

We have three MOT's due .., a lot of hoping and praying going on here lol. Good luck with yours TB.
-
mmm.. I also now have two cars with MOTs due in the winter. Was much better in the summer. Adjusting handbrakes is a pain at the best of times but doing it in the freezing cold is a right pain in the butt >:(

Oh yes, that was always going to happen. Trouble is, I reckon in the conditions here, I could get the rear wheels up to 60mph and the fronts at 0mph....
-
Good luck with the MOT !!Know how you feel, got both ours in next week so everything crossed!
jerry :y
-
Passed with following advisories:
Wheel bearing has small amount of play
Rear pads low (thought I changed these last year, maybe not)
Plastic Sills.
-
Well done matey :y
-
straight forward
well done
-
You always come out a garage with a new MOT as if you had won money or something dont you?
Great feeling :y
Well done mate
-
And got to go through it all again on Friday morning with the MV6 (don't think anything controversial on that, but I'll always be nervous about that bloody handbrake ;D)
-
1 down, 1 to go, lucky!

Better put some better rubber on front of MV6 first. Oh, and put the dash back in ;D
-
so when you say better rubber, you will be putting the tractor wheels on for the MOT like you did last year?
Dash may help a bit ;D

I chucked the spare and tunnie's spare stealies on the front last year.
Got some good SC2s on some bent MV6 rims I can throw on for MOT.
Really need to get it to WIM to sort out some very odd tyre wear on it, but can't until I have got some replacement rims next time a member is passing....
-
at least trouble finished.. :y
my 2 trouble is waiting for the summer.. :-/

The smoke test came back with a result of 0.44K m-1, with pass rate under 1.5K m-1, whatever that means.
I was stood behind it when smoke test done, and it looked good to me, so that thrashing up the A43 this morning must have done some good :y

Not bad for a near 140k engine that has seen an 'interesting' life then :y
I'll dig out last years results, as that was done with the chip in it.
-
means the engine is in damn fine fettle!!!! no appreciable wear
also means fuelling is pretty damn good so no need for injectors!!!
time to look elsewhere fr the consumption problem!!
cos for sure its burning properly!!!!! :y

Wondering if the injector sealing washers are buggered, defo outside of front injectors seem to have more dampness than rears....
-
Glad she lives to fight another year. Beastie had her new battery today, (£52) ins. back on, MOT later this week. :y
-
MV6 prepped for MOT 7am Friday. ie, put some better tyres on the front, and put the dash back in.
Too bloody cold out there to properly check it. Heres hoping the rather handbrake works
-
