firestone

I run Acelera Alpha's... Been pretty reliable for me, and I do drive enthusiastically sometimes :-[ :-[ ::) ::) Cost about £50 a corner :y :y :y
Only really let go on me when provoked

Firestone's no grip?
They must be different now,i used to run Firestone Firehawks on the Monza's,used to be pretty good tyres...

On the tractor I use Nexen CP641. Whilst definately not up to premium top end tyres like Dunlop SP9000 or Conti SC2, they are not bad in the dry, pretty good in the wet, undecided about snow - whilst its behaved itself, the MV6 on its Dunlop SP9000 seems more surefooted, despite the wider tyres.

Just got another set of Michellins for mine. Kwik Fit quoted over £800. Costco are doing a deal at the moment. 20% off if you buy all 4. So they cost me £440 inc VAT fitted and balanced which I think is a good deal. They are great tyres. Always used them on my Mig. Ironically this is the first time I bought a set of tyres which are now worth more than the car!

Not a fan :-/
Every time I've had the newer style michelins (ie, last 10yrs or so), I've been massively disappointed. But then I demand griip from my tyres ::)

The Beastie currently runs Goodyear F1 Eagles which she came with when i bought her from Hotel 21. They're now on my MV6 rims & the grip for the size & power of the car is impressive. I won't give examples of when & where as this starts riots from the safe driver brigade, suffice to say they're good. When i had them swapped over to my rims i told the fitter they grip better than my others, to which he replied " They will do, we still fit them to patrol cars @ £180 a corner!!!)" Not sure how true all this is but they're half worn now so will be looking for a good all round replacement when the time comes.
If you can afford it they're worth it. :y

I`m gonna go for conti`s when i can afford em on the beemer..... :)

That seems a good price, where did you get those from. :)

if you want them for snow goodyear UG series, bridgestone blizzak are good imho.. even kumho snow tires are not bad.. but in good weather they wil slow you down and consume more fuel..

I think Toyos are a very good tyre :y
