Sorry if its a member on here, but surely after listing it a couple of times there is an indication of what people are prepared to pay.

£2800 for a 96 Omega… must be with golden handles, but...last year I was selling my BFL 2.0 CDX estate +LPG and everyone was laughing about £2890 I asked, but I got this much. If anuone wants 2800 for this car, I would fix everything, as if somebody wants to buy that expensive car (for its age) he doesn’t want to pay extra to remove “Check” on dashboard, refill AirCon, or to do bits previous owner hasn’t done. Some people will pay extra but they want to know what is this extra for.
Even though I think it's just too much...

It's a buyers market, and sadly as they get older they are getting cheaper, also as fuel prices fluctuate then so do sale of these cars.

You're definitely right. He might “lose” 1800 and sell it for £1000 but look at Lotus Omega owners. 1-2 years ago these cars were worth 20-25k and now hardly reach 12k (offers, not sellers expectations). Comparing to amount of time, money and effort put in these cars it’s peanuts but what can you do. We say in Poland that once car has been modified it’s like marriage – either you will let it go for peanuts (comparing to what you’ve already put) and leave with nothing, or you will be struggling as it can only be more expensive.

A car is like a lot of things, it's only worth what someone is prepared to pay for it.

I wont buy high mileage cars unless I know the person or company selling them and know the history, therefore some times I pay a little extra to get what I want, but hopefully as I keep the miles low I hope that to reflect in the price when I sell it,

Like now, If I see a nice Elite estate that takes my fancy, then I would go for it if I got a good sale on my 63K V plate miggy.  As I have a Saloon Elite then the next car has to better it it some way or there is no point in upgradding.  Yes I will lose a lot of money from what I bought it for, but that will be ofset with what I would buy.

P.S> I want £6300 for the Mig (It is Silver) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

If he is not in a hurry to sell, someone may come along and give him more that the average price? Not necessarily the asking price though. :P

Good thing about car sales on E-Bay is that when a seller wants X and he won’t get that much, he can always accept highest offer, like X-50%. Buyers should be careful as this means that placed and not refused offer can be accepted after 2 weeks, when buyer already bought another car thinking that his offer wasn’t good enough!

and id rather have the mini f/l!!!!!!!!

hmm itll be down on power with all those silly mods! how can people say its 250bhp when its a clapped out 13yr old engine that has problably been ragged to death by the plonker who owns it i see there is no Dyno readout for the car

tightarse it even has a fake irmy grill

i notice it still has standard manifolds so i doubt its anywhere near 250bhp lol
