Title: Is £100 plus VAT an OK quote for swapping a diff?
Post by: Albatross on 10 February 2009, 19:39:28
I just got hold of an LSD and went down to my local garage; they're pretty good mechanically.

Is £100+VAT a reasonable quote (3 hours they reckon) to swap the diff, add fluid to it and change the ATF fluid, assuming I provide the liquid?

Sounds reasonable...does the diff you have include the drive shafts?? If not presumably they have to change the seals too...

Can probably be done in 2, maybe less but at £30 an hour I wouldnt be complaining...
