Very sorry to hear your sad news,my thoughts are with you and your family......
-
My heart goes out to you both.... :'(
I sadly learnt that I did not do or say all that I wanted to in the short time available with both my folks and I have regretted that fact since and probably always will.
Give yourself some good reflective time and ensure you say all that you need to say to each other, as well as you can, when you can.
Unfortunately, we all only walk this way the once at the same time..... :(

I am sorry for you and your Mum Bertie.
I lost my Dad last year. It's very personal and everyone deals with it differently.
All I can say is - make sure you have the courage to say goodbye and thanks. My Dad was unconscious at the time but I know he heard me say my goodbyes. It makes a lot of difference for all the time after, but especially the funeral and first few weeks.
Sorry mate.
-
Deepest sympathy, have been throught this with Dad a couple of years ago, my sister in law is just starting treatment so I understand how you feel. Just make full use of the time you have left.
Simon.

Bertie,
I wish there was more we could do to help... My heart goes out to you and your family. The only saving grace is the speed which this has all happened means the suffering has been minimized. I know that's not a great help at the moment but hopefully it will help in the near future.
If we can help in any way, even if you just need to rant, then feel free :( :'(
-
Tell her how much you love her Bertie. :-*
Prayers being said for you all here tonight.

I'm not joking when i say i've got a lump in my throat. My parents are in their 70' & 80's so i'm dreading the inevitable. The best thing you did was stand up proud & tell ALL of us you love your Mum, i love mine too more than anything.
Keep telling her that for as long as you can. Guy.
-
So sorry to hear your news Bertie. You know how to get me if you need to :)
-
Sorry to hear the news. It was only a couple of years ago that my mum passed with cancer. She stayed at home with us which was hard but also a blessing for all of us -- as it will be for you. Keep strong mate. Share the time left with your mum.

I was in your shoes a few years back with my dad...i decided too look after him at home with the help of his wife.
It will get worse mate before the end so prepare yourself as best you can.
If your lucky your doctor will do as mine did...offer too give an injection too help with the pain and explain its now there final couple of hours.
Just one thing make sure your not in the same room (or within ear shot) when they come too collect the body...sorry too say they don't treat them with much respect and threw my dad onto a trolley.
Probably not what you wanna hear mate but your better off knowing.
You have my sympathies... :'( :y
-
Very sorry to hear that Bertie, only consolation maybe that she hasnt got to carry on suffering indefinetely,
I got a call in 2000 to say my mum was very ill so booked a plane ticket for the next day to go and see her.I spent that night thinking of all the things I wanted to say to her,but got a call the next morning telling me that she was gone,so I never got the chance. All I would say is tell her what is in your heart and then you wont have the regret that can linger.
-
Our thoughts are with you, mate. Make the most of the time she has left. :(
