Got to sort the loft out ready to move home. Suddenly realised what the job may entail. This is just 1 picture starting from a corner of the loft.
Upto about 5 years ago I was into allsorts including building basic web PC's. I was out most days buying parts and bits for upgrades and also did loads of S/H PC's. So when I spotted a bargain or got good discount I bought in bulk.
Things were going fine, kept me busy and got some really good contacts. Any way had quite a build up of stuff including 7 15" CRT montitors bought at 50% or less. 3 IBM, 2 x Compaq and 2 x Hansol. Quite a few cases, motherborads the whole works.
Then out of the blue an opportunity came up that I had to put a lot of time and effort into leaving me no spare time at all but had/has massive potential, set up an office etc and went for it. But just put eveything else on the back burner.
As a result it all got shuffled into the lost and forgotten about to a degree, untill now that is. Some of the montitors have been sold or even given to charities, but they were bought just before TFT became popular and well before the TFT prices started to drop. The sad thing is, brand new and boxed they aint worth a light now.
The boaards are out of date as they probably wont take more than XP 2100+ CPU's but have never been used.
I now have to decide what to do with it, and it's gonna hurt in some cases goz of the original outlay.
Might learn one day. These days not worth keeping stock as prices allways seem to be dropping.

The loose cases are AT ones, all the boxed ones are ATX (All Different) but have just spotted the old Polaroid flip down sun screen for a 14/15" screen, (Thats sad) :-[
Plus loads of empty boxes kept for warranty purposes.

if you need any chipboard screws ive thousands. ive always used 50mm gyprocs as there far easier to drive in, do it in half the time with an electric drill ;)

I,ve got christmas decorations some junk and stuff we buy and never get round to using and end up in the attic :D

You been peaking in our loft then, :) sounds the same ::) ::) ::)

When I last moved, it took us about 4 weeks pretty much solid to go through loft. Most went to tip.
So now, nothing in my loft - if things have to go in loft, its unlikely they'll get used, so I bin them straight away.
So the sum total of my loft is the 2 water tanks ;D
-
filled the mig up 3 times last week with unwanted stuff from the loft and took it to the tip,so there is now around 10% less crap up there than there was. ::).....Mrs bitz is a hoarder. :(
