I never buy Mrs TB anything with handles, or anything with a cord - it hurts more due to her having a better grip/swing on it...

Me and her decided to the Marks and Sparks 'meal for 2 for £20' thing for this evening as we are off to the theatre tomorrow and time for food and travel is at a premium on a Saturday for us....

Standing in the queue with the basket with starter, main, side dish, pudding, bottle of plonk and a single rose....  An old lady (late 70's/80's) standing behind us with a few bits and bobs of daily shopping on the conveyor says, rather wistfully, 'wish I had had a husband that would buy something like that for me'....

It really got me.....   :-[

Paid for the shopping for us and, on impulse, turned and gave the rose to the old dear with a peck on her cheek and a few words to cheer her up..

Embarrased?  Was I?  Just a load....   :-[

She lapped it up and, 'kin 'ell, she blushed....

Was worth it...   Certainly brought a lump to the throat of me and the wife....

If you can, make someone elses day tomorrow....

ps - Reckon I've pulled....   ;)

At risk of making u blush even more, that was a lovely thing to do Auto addict.

This year was a first.., I got a 'Happy Valentine's Day' lolol.  Oh well, the thought was at least there which is better than last year when the day sort of just passed lol.  After all those hints about roses and gypsophilia as well.  Maybe next year (and no i won't be holding my breath lol)

I'd far rather have a rose less valentine's day and a Jue every other day than anything else. (Gawd who says romance is dead lol)?
