About a year ago I went and got DVT(deep vien thrombosis) in my left leg. Which was a tad painful and after daily injection for 2 weeks then a course of rat poisen for 6 months sorted it out :y
Went to the doc today, coz i noticed about a week ago my left leg below the knee had swollen up again.......had nearly convinced myself that i'd got another DVT.....except for the fact it wasnt painful.
Doc reckons he's convinced its not a DVT but a surface thrombosis this time, and not nearly as serious as a DVT.....so a bit of a relief :y
Still blooming cost me £21 summat in the chemist next door tho :(
Course of anti imflamitries/antibiotics
Anti imflamitrie cream
And for good measure 100 tabs of industrial strength co-codamol for just in case ;D
And also i have to get a knee height stocking measured up and wear that for a bit.....Doc left me to get that sorted....
So....Anne Summers shop?? ;D ::)

I know a lot of drivers with problems in the knee area, mostly taxi drivers and a couple of truck drivers .Quite a few have had to have steroid injections ( me included) .My doc reckons its through pressing the pedals more than the average driver
-
I hope they're right - my mate suffered from a couple, on the rat shit for the rest of his life now, but can control it purely on tablets now. But until you learn how to deal with it, one mistake, you die :o

Only if you ignore it....and dont get it sorted....thrombosis is basically blood clots....that can shift about your body....it only kills if you ignore the symptoms....and then the blood clots can move about and if they end up in your heart/lungs :-X

Having to take Warfarine or rat shit type stuff put me off having carbon fibre heart valve went for the pigs one instead so no need for that medication just aspirin & its not essential just recommended at the moment! :y

All down to doing the same thing repeatedly for long periods. Take short walks, wash your car by hand instead of using a car wash, when waiting for a fare clean the car windows. Just make a few minutes to get out of the drivers seat and move around into different postures and positions. Now that I am back to driving 100's of miles a day I make sure that I stop and get out of the car at least every couple of hours. Good luck mate, I know it's not easy as you have a living to make, but how much time are the visits to the Doctors costing you ? Your health is much more important than anything else.
