if you have student version, you must have media - it was only sold in retail channel, thus comes with media

Sorry TB but you lost me If this does not work then will find someone with an external drive. Office Home and Student 2007, I have the disc which I bought a couple of years ago when I got my laptop.

So, if you have the media, why do you need to download it?

Also, all users need to be students to be legal (though it works if you're not  :-X)

It's office I want to download, word and power point in particular, and she is a student, she is 8. We have this on our laptops, no idea we were supposed to be students. Bought it from a shop and saw it on general sale today in pc world?

It may be, but you'll have to burn to disk, then straight back in same situation....

Lots of workarounds, but Mike F has said in the past that 'puters aren't his forte....

Guy in pc world told me that I could not sopy it onto a stick. Mind he was trying to sell me additional hardware.
