Nope, can take it to a large retailer, and they will pay out.

The most i have won personally was £80 on a National Lottery scratchcard.

Tho a few years ago, a few of us invested £100 on scratchcards....we won about £150.....re-invested in more scratchcards.....several times....think we got to about £300 before calling it quits   :)
