I'm thinking of debading the bootlid.
The vauxhall lettering and the omega 2.2 would go but the vaux griffin would stay.
What do you think???

Why?

Why?
Adds a little mystery ;D ;D
Put an opel badge on my dads omega but it took months for the outline if vauxhall to wear away ;D
Might look good if de-badged ::)

My bootlid is debadged...
Purely as half the letters were missing when I got the boot...
I will be re-badging it once the car is done, but unsure as what to put on it...

I duno I just think it looks better but Im not 100% sure.

I find folk only de badge thier cars in the hope it'll look like a higher spec/faster model than it really is. Nothing wrong with what you've got. If it was mine i'd keep it clean & polished inc. the badges.
Having said that i've changed a few things on mine that not all agree with so each to thier own.
One thing that overides personal opinion is to keep them clean inside & out. Heard all the excuses & they don't wear with me. I work silly hours, car is parked in a mucky yard at work. No longer have kids but have done. Kids do NOT eat in the car, they can wait, glass cleaner cleans sticky windows & we all own a hoover. :)

Mine just has Vauxhall on the right and Omega on the left. Didn't realise it would have had 2.5TD originally ?
Edit: Doh, other way round. Vauxhall on left...Omega on right !! ::)

I de badged my estate not to make it go faster but just because it looks much smoother and uncluttered. :y
-
Mine was debadged from the factory, just griffin front and rear, no model on front doors either.
-
I de-badged mine due to all the crud that had accumulated in the gaps, nothing would get the paint shiny so they all came off.....
if you are going to do it use something like dental floss to get them off

Thanks for the tip! :y
I think I'll do it when I next get a day off! ::)
Early march I think >:(

My old Ex -Plod 3.2 estate had no badge on the back...............so I put a 2.0 badge from the scrappers on it's rump.................caused much head scratching amongst the spotty hot hatch brigade. :y :y :y :y

At least you put the badge where they're likely to be in a position to see it. ;D

Personally I quite like the style of the badging on the boot lid of mine (tho must say that I think the styling of an Irmscher front grille is way nicer than the standard Griffin one). Tend to agree with notion that most people only debadge, not so much to declutter the look, but to get people guessing as to what possible upgrades theyve done under the bonnet when, in reality, there are none!!

Should have fitted a 1.0 12v badge from a Corsa ;D
Someone I know has a Corsa with C20LET pushing out over 500bhp... with a 1.2 8v badge on the back ::)

Hi
Change my badging on my estate from 2.5 v6 to Irmuscher!. i used a hot air gun to get mine of, also door badges from cdx to Irmuscher, just gently pulled out and replaced. ;)
